Shanxia Cultural Station / MUFU Architectural Performance Studio

 Located at the foot of Maoqian Mountain in Yongkang, Zhejiang, China, Shanxia (Mountain-Foot) Village has long been celebrated for its picturesque landscapes and rich culture. However, with the advent of modernization, the village's traditional charm has gradually faded. Despite this, the folk custom of the Bench Dragon Lantern has endured, and this annual ritual performance on the seventeenth day of the first lunar month remains a significant moment that brings the community together and strengthens the village. The project site is a residential plot, just north of which lies the field for the dragon lantern performance and the rocky hill known as Houyanta (Rear Rock Pagoda). Instead of replicating the homogeneous modern-style residences, a public-oriented cultural station was envisioned, rooted in the rural land, with the aim of enhancing the dragon lantern viewing experience and serving as a hub for various cultural activities.

중국 절강성 영강시 지마에산 기슭에 위치한 산협촌은 옛날부터 아름다운 경관과 풍부한 문화로 유명합니다. 그러나 근대화의 도래와 함께, 마을의 전통적인 매력은 서서히 희미해져 갔습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 벤치 드래곤 랜턴의 민속 습관은 살아남으며, 음력 1월 17일의 연례 의식은 커뮤니티를 모으고 마을을 강화하는 중요한 순간입니다. 프로젝트 사이트는 주거 지역으로, 북쪽에는 드래곤 랜턴 퍼포먼스 필드와 후암탑으로 알려진 암산이 있습니다. 균질한 현대풍의 주택을 모방하는 것이 아니라, 농촌에 뿌리를 둔 공공 지향의 문화 스테이션이 구상되어, 드래곤 랜턴 감상 체험을 향상시켜, 다양한 문화 활동의 거점이 되는 것을 목표로 했습니다.
