Antiquarian Book Shop in Jimbocho / n o t architects studio

This is an antiquarian bookstore located on the first floor of a building facing Yasukuni Street in Jimbocho. The client, who originally ran a secondhand Western bookstore in this building, decided to reopen as a select store of secondhand books with other four co-owners. Each owner deals in various kinds of antiquarian books, from Western books to Japanese books, ukiyoe, hanging scrolls(kakeziku), and scrolls(makimono), so the client wanted a space where these antiquarian books can be freely arranged.

진보초의 야스쿠니 거리에 면한 빌딩 1층에 있는 고서점. 고서는 양서, 화서, 우키요에, 곱셈축, 두루마리 등 다방면에 걸쳐, 그들을 자유롭게 늘어놓을 수 있는 공간이 요구되고 있었다.
