SCH House, Jerusalem, Israel by Ollech + Tol Architects

A villa built on three levels, combining floating stone above a glass box and a rooftop pool, overlooking the unique landscape of the Jerusalem hills. This house features several unique elements, including a seven-and-a-half-meter staircase that was dropped as a single unit from the roof directly to the center of the space. In this villa, the rules for using Jerusalem stone on the facade were redefined, while the planners also tackled challenging topography and even fulfilled a small dream for the homeowner at the entrance.

In n old, quiet Jerusalem neighborhood, the family purchased the land as part of a plot intended for a 260 square meter shared house. We set new boundaries for the plot and created a narrow, elongated structure rich in details. In addition to the desire to create a modernist structure for the couple, we also had to consider the regulations for cladding buildings in Jerusalem stone throughout the city. This created an interesting meeting between Jerusalem classicism and subtle modernism, mainly expressed in the details.


3층짜리 빌라는 유리 상자 위에 떠 있는 돌과 옥상 수영장을 결합하여 예루살렘 언덕의 독특한 풍경을 내려다보고 있습니다. 이 집에는 지붕에서 공간의 중앙에 직접 하나의 단위로 내려진 7.5 미터의 계단을 포함하여 몇 가지 독특한 요소가 있습니다. 이 빌라에서는 정면에 예루살렘 돌을 사용하는 규칙이 재정의되었으며, 플래너는 어려운 지형에도 접근하여 현관에서 주택 소유자의 작은 꿈을 실현했습니다.

예루살렘의 오래되고 조용한 지역에서 가족은 260 평방 미터의 쉐어 하우스를 건설하기위한 구획의 일부로 토지를 구입했습니다. 우리는 구획에 새로운 경계를 세웠고 세부 사항을 고집한 길쭉한 구조를 만들었습니다. 부부를 위해 모더니즘적인 구조를 만들고 싶은 욕망 외에도 도시의 예루살렘 돌로 건물을 덮는 것에 대한 규정도 고려해야했습니다. 이로 인해 주로 세부적으로 표현된 예루살렘의 고전주의와 섬세한 모더니즘의 흥미로운 만남이 탄생했습니다.
