Atelier Extension in Tomigusuku / Studio Cochi Architects


This architecture is a small atelier built in the garden of an existing house. The site is in a residential area near the airport in the southern part of Okinawa Prefecture. It is set back slightly from the main road like the flagpole lot but is surrounded by a construction company's material yard and the yard of a neighbor's house, so the garden is bright and airy. The owner wanted to keep the garden and build a small atelier. Also, I was concerned about the view from the road and the neighbor's house to the main house. In considering the building, we thought it would be good to create a building that would not only function as an atelier but also serve as a buffer zone between the house and the town and between the house and the natural environment.


이 건축은 기존 주택의 정원에 지어진 작은 아틀리에입니다. 부지는 오키나와현 남부의 공항 근처의 주택가에 있습니다. 깃대지와 같이 간선도로에서 조금 깊은 곳에 있습니다만, 주위를 건설회사의 자재 두는 장소나 이웃집의 정원에 둘러싸여 있기 때문에, 정원은 밝고 통풍이 좋습니다. 시주는 정원을 남기고 작은 아틀리에를 만들고 싶다는 희망이있었습니다. 또, 도로나 이웃집에서 도리에의 전망이 신경이 쓰였습니다. 건물을 검토할 때에, 아틀리에로서의 기능 뿐만이 아니라, 집과 거리, 집과 자연 환경과의 완충대가 되는 건물로 하면 좋다고 생각했습니다.
