Gilay Estate is an off grid, luxury farm stay accommodation building located just outside of Quirindi on the Liverpool Plans in regional NSW. The building is sited on a gently undulating site with its elevated position offering uninterrupted views of the Liverpool Plains. The small building has an internal area of just 40m2 and comprises a wrapping sheet metal roof form that protects the building from the elements and mimics the enclosure of a tent structure. Extensive double glazing maximises Southern views while Western and Northern glazing are protected by roof overhangs to eliminate Summer sun. The building incorporates a 6.4kw off grid solar system with 11.4kw of battery storage and utilises 100% rainwater for use within the building stored within a 60,000L water tank. Consultation was carried out with the local aboriginal lands council throughout the design process. Charred timber cladding was utilised as a way of representing traditional burning and regeneration while also assisting in letting the building disappear into the landscape, while the warm timber interior contrasts the dark exterior to represent regrowth and healing. The building is largely open plan with a sleeping space within the main living area. A large desk maximises opportunities for remote working and a small private bathroom is tucked away but offers Western views. A feature of the roof is a large curved cutaway which helps maximise views to the West while still providing adequate overhang for summer shading.


길레이 에스테이트는 오프 그리드의 럭셔리 팜스테이 숙박 시설로, 뉴 사우스 웨일즈의 지방 리버풀 플랜스의 퀴린디 교외에 위치하고 있습니다. 건물은 부드러운 기복이 있는 곳에 있으며, 고대에 있기 때문에 리버풀 평원의 막을 수 없는 경치를 즐길 수 있습니다. 내부 면적은 불과 40 평방 미터의 작은 건물로, 지붕은 금속판으로 덮여 있으며, 건물을 바람 비로부터 보호하고 텐트 구조의 울타리를 모방하고 있습니다. 대형 이중창으로 남쪽의 경치를 최대한 즐길 수 있으며 서쪽과 북쪽의 창문은 지붕의 돌출에 의해 보호되어 여름의 햇빛을 차단합니다. 건물에는 6.4kW의 오프 그리드 태양광 발전 시스템과 11.4kW의 축전지가 내장되어 있어 60,000L의 저수 탱크에 모인 빗물을 100% 이용하여 건물 내에서 사용하고 있습니다. 설계 과정 전반에 걸쳐 현지 원주민 토지 평의회와 협의가 이루어졌다. 탄된 목재의 외장은 전통적인 연소와 재생을 표현하는 동시에 건물을 풍경 속에 녹이는 방법으로 이용되며, 따뜻한 목재의 인테리어는 어두운 외관과 대조를 이루며 재생과 치유를 표현 하고 있습니다. 건물은 주로 오픈 플랜으로, 주 거실에 침실이 있습니다. 대형 책상은 원격 작업 기회를 극대화하며 작은 전용 욕실은 숨겨져 있지만 서쪽 전망을 즐기실 수 있습니다. 지붕의 특징은 서쪽 경치를 극대화하는 데 도움이되는 커다란 곡선 컷 아웃으로 여름 그늘을위한 충분한 돌출을 보장합니다.
