Walking Canopy (3ra Café Bistro) / Paad Architects

Historically, architecture has been anchored to the ground on which it stands. However, in contemporary cities, architecture needs greater agility and freedom to increase its chances of participating in and intervening with the qualities of everyday life. Contemporary architectural discourse has been exploring methods of creating temporary and alternative relationships with the ground, aiming to produce provisional and adaptive spaces. The Walking Canopy, situated in the historic city of Isfahan, is a project that pursues this idea to define a new relationship between architecture and urban life at a very small scale, where a radical idea meets low-budget and low-tech conditions.


역사적으로, 건축은 그것이 서있는 땅에 고정되어 왔습니다. 그러나 현대 도시에서는 일상 생활의 질에 참여하고 개입 할 기회를 늘리기 위해 건축은 더 큰 민첩성과 자유를 필요로합니다. 현대 건축 논의는 잠정적이고 적응성있는 공간을 창출하는 것을 목표로 땅과 일시적이고 대체적인 관계를 만드는 방법을 모색해 왔습니다. 역사적인 도시 에스파한에 있는 워킹 캐노피는 이 아이디어를 추구하고 급진적인 아이디어가 저예산 및 저기술의 조건을 만나는 매우 소규모 건축과 도시 생활의 새로운 관계를 정의하는 프로젝트입니다.
