House on Nishinokyo-Hills / Waro Kishi + K.ASSOCIATES/Architects


 This is a house for a small family of husband+wife+child, located on the outskirts of Nara. A parking space facing the road in front, extends the full width of the front opening, as to accommodate all the cars for daily use and the motorbikes for the owner’s hobby. This is why the façade is set back to give space to the parking area. The building itself projects a closed image, except for the hobby area on the first floor, which is a wide open space with glass openings facing the collection of motorbikes.


나라 교외에 지어진 부부와 어린이의 작은 가족을위한 주택. 전면 도로에 면한 주차 공간은, 일상적으로 사용하는 차와 취미의 오토바이를 수용할 수 있도록, 정면 개구부의 폭 가득 퍼져 있다. 따라서 외관은 주차 공간을 확보하기 위해 후퇴하고 있습니다. 건물 자체는 폐쇄적인 이미지이지만, 1층의 취미의 공간은, 오토바이의 컬렉션에 면해 유리의 개구부가 있어, 넓고 개방적인 공간이 되고 있다.
