House in Sugie / Horibe Associates

 The house is sited on a path. Where old houses and tradition remain. At the end of the path is a Shinto shrine. Every year, omikoshi are carried along this path during the festivities of the Naginata Matsuri. For this residential project, we aimed to create a house which harmonizes with its con- text in both materiality and geometry.



집은 도로를 따라 세워져 있습니다. 오래된 주택과 전통이 남아있는 곳입니다. 소도의 끝에는 신사가 있어, 매년 薙刀祭의 축제 때에는 가마가 이 길을 통해 건네받습니다. 이 주택 프로젝트에서는 소재와 모양의 양면에서 주변 환경과 조화를 이루는 집을 목표로했습니다.
