Strata House / pH+ Architects

Located on a stepped site in Sydney’s Inner West, this new home seeks to adopt clarity and simplicity in response to its complex site. The brief is split and defined as a series of distinct horizontal strata that are stacked and stepped in response to the site’s topography. The design and materiality of each reflect the program within. At the lower level, a tactile new brick structure addresses the street, balancing its contradictory roles of security and entry.


시드니의 이너 웨스트 계단형 부지에 위치한 이 새로운 집은 복잡한 부지에 따라 명확성과 단순성을 채택하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 서류는 나누어지고 부지의 지형에 따라 쌓여 계단이되는 일련의 다른 수평 레이어로 정의됩니다. 각각의 디자인과 내용은 그 안의 프로그램을 반영합니다. 저층에서는 촉각의 새로운 벽돌 구조가 거리를 향하고 있으며 보안과 입장이라는 상반되는 역할의 균형을 유지하고 있습니다.
