Ring House / OFIS Architects


In one of the areas of former Ljubljana suburbs, where bourgeois houses were built during the interwar period, stands an unusual hybrid. The original house with its cubic volume, typical of the early modernism of the 1930s, with semicircle fringes and scanty details stretches towards the garden with its modern addition - a light floating pavilion. The pavilion uses the original volumes' curvatures as a formal starting point, but we can tell by its expression the unmistakable continuity of works from Ljubljana architectural studio Ofis. When clients and architects met for the first time the house was far from its former glory.

전간기에 부르주아 주택이 세워진 구 류블랴나 교외의 일각에 드문 하이브리드 주택이 세워져 있다. 1930년대 초기 모더니즘에 전형적인 반원 프린지와 장식이 적은 입체적인 볼륨을 가진 오리지널 하우스는 현대적인 추가물, 즉 빛에 떠 있는 파빌리온이 있는 정원을 향해 뻗어 있습니다. . 이 파빌리온은 공식 출발점으로 원래 볼륨의 곡률을 사용하지만, 그 표현은 류블랴나의 건축 스튜디오 Ofis의 작품의 확실한 연속성을 알 수 있습니다. 고객과 건축가가 처음 만났을 때, 그 집은 한때 영광과는 거리가 멀었습니다.
