 The house was designed for a couple who are around 50 years old. They wanted to make their final abode to spend their slow life with outdoor activities. In the beginning, they said they want to make a house like an old Japanese traditional house. But after my first presentation, they said, ” I have never imagined a house like this, but if it is possible, we want a house like this. In this house, we will always feel each other, not too tightly nor feeling alone and close to nature outside.“ By these words, I realized that this idea could be concerned fundamentally with the Japanese traditional house, even if it doesn’t look like a traditional house at all.

이 집은 50 세 전후의 부부를 위해 설계되었습니다. 야외에서 슬로우 라이프를 보내는 마지막 서가를 목표로 하고 있었던 것이다. 당초는 고민가와 같은 집으로 하고 싶다고 말씀하셨습니다. 그러나 첫 프레젠테이션 이후, 그들은 "이런 집을 상상한 적도 없었지만, 할 수 있다면 이런 집을 원한다"고 말했다. 이 집에서 우리는 항상 서로를 느끼고 너무 긴밀하지 않으며 외로움을 느끼지 않고 외부 자연을 가까이 느낍니다. 이 말에 의해, 나는 이 아이디어가, 비록 외형에는 보이지 않아도, 일본의 전통적인 집과 근본적으로 관계하고 있는 것을 깨달았습니다. 마치 전통적인 집처럼.
